- No Bots or automated processes of any kind. However if it does not bother us, we probably will not bother it (Rule #1 still applies).
- Spamming (Advertising), Flooding (nick flooding, join/part flooding, ctcp flooding, etc), and other abusive behavior (see rule #1) is PROHIBITED.
- ALL clients must properly respond to ALL CTCP requests.
- Clones are prohibited.
A clone is 3 or more connections from *user@*.host.tld or *user@xxx.xxx.xxx.0/24. Clones are handled on a case by case basis. If the clones are "user@*.home.com" obviously they may not be actual clones. If one K:Line string containing your host and/or IDENT can take out 3 or more clients, you are considered cloning and are subject to removal from our server.

- DO NOT ask if you can have a spoofed I:line. These are reserved for OPERS ONLY, so the answer is NO.
- Users found in violation of ANY of these rules will be subject to any action deemed necessary by our IRC Server Staff.
- If you have a problem or question with any of the above rules, please feel free to Contact Us at any time.

- Requesting K:Lines: We do ask for a valid reason (
from users and operators alike) for a K:Line, as well as some proof before the K:Line will be set. What exactly does this mean? See below for details:
- If the client you are requesting a K:Line for is a suspected bot, we are able to verify, and will remove the client if it is indeed a bot.
- The irc.flamed.net IRC Staff WILL NOT
K:Line a client if they are "annoying/bothering/bugging/etc." you, feel free to use /ignore. This goes for IRC OPERATORS AND USERS ALIKE.
- The irc.flamed.net IRC Staff WILL NOT kill (globallly or locally) or K:Line a client that has taken over your channel. This goes for
IRC OPERATORS AND USERS ALIKE.
- The irc.flamed.net IRC Staff WILL NOT kill (globally or locally) or K:Line for a users nick. This goes for IRC OPERATORS AND USERS
ALIKE.

- CHANFIX/JUPES (services.int) EFnet has a new function that is
publicly available called "CHANFIX".
If your channel somehow becomes opless, CHANFIX will join, and re-op the "correct" channel ops in the channel based on a record of who's been op'd previously. If your channel has been "taken over" please /join #chanfix and ask for help. Please also read the CHANFIX FAQ -before- asking for help. They are able to verify whether or not it is indeed a channel takeover. If it is a takeover, they will be able to report it to an admin to get the channel "chanfixed". For a complete description of what services.int (CHANFIX) does, please see the CHANFIX FAQ.
- Because of TS5, NONE of the irc.flamed.net staff have the ability to join a channel with ops at any time. What does this mean? NO
irc.flamed.net IRC Operators will be able to help you get a channel back by "hacking" channel ops, not because we do not care or do not want to get involved. We simply do not have the ability to do so. If you feel you need help with your channel (I.E. a takeover) please see the above message.
- I:line Policy: We would like to keep the I:lines on irc.flamed.net as open as possible (open as in allowing two connections per IP without a specific I:Line), however how open the I:lines remain all depends on the
users. When the IRC server is attacked (Denial of Service attack), the I:lines on the server will be closed a bit. After a certain amount of time (may be days or weeks) they will be gradually opened up. The purpose of this is to try to detour possible Denial of Service attacks. Why attack a server that you will not be able to connect to?
- With that said, there are a handful of channels that are locally "juped" on irc.flamed.net.
If you are unable to join your channel and see the error message "Illegal channel name" or "Prohibited channel." this is one of the juped channels. Channels that have been known to attract packets have been added to this list. If you think your channel has been locally juped in error, please feel free to contact us and explain why you feel this way.

* By using this server and connected network paths, you agree unconditionally to all policies and terms set fourth by NAC,
irc.flamed.net server admins and ALL IRC Opers on EFnet regardless if they are local or not. Interpretation of issues is left to EFnet IRC Operators, IRC server admins and NAC, all dispute resolutions are final and
not up for debate, and of course all sales are final.
